The Facebook Fan of the Month Award recognizes the sharing activity of one of our Facebook Fans. In Acttiv we think Facebook is a great platform for us to keep on touch with all the Entertainers. At the same time, we think it is the perfect space for all the Acttiv stuff to meet each other and learn from their own experience.

Tomás Hernández is currently entertainer in Hotel IPV Beatriz Costa Teguise & Spa and has previous experience working, also with Acttiv, as all-round animator in Hotel Princesa Yaiza, Lanzarote.

Tomás is 21 years old and he has been working with Acttiv just a few months. During this time he has been really active in Facebook, sharing pictures about his daily experience as entertainer. Also Tomás and the rest of the Animation team in Hotel IPV Beatriz Costa Teguise have created a new Entertainment Facebook Profile to share pics of their activity in this Resort.

We are really happy to have Tomas picture as our Profile Facebook Pic during the whole Month of November and we hope he enjoy his time as Facebook Fan of the Month.

In order to encourage him to continue sharing his daily experience as entertainer, during this month, Acttiv has lent him a video camera and an USB Internet Connection.

Moreover we are happy to open this blog to him and during this month he will have access to create content here in animajobs.com.

We are really happy to name him as Facebook Fan of the Month of October, not only for his continuous sharing activity at our Facebook Profile, as well as a way to reward his good work and effort to work as en Entertainment Reporter.

Florin Baciu started working with Acttiv at the end of summer 2009 in Hotel Hotasa Eurocalas, Mallorca, as allround entertainer. In 2010 he worked in Mallorca as well, but this time at Club Mac with a new role: he became the first person to be Entertainment Reporter in Acttiv.

After his first experience at Club Mac, this year Florin has consolidated his good job as Entertainment Reporter working in Hotel Oasis Islantilla and making interviews to his colleagues, clients and hotel staff. Check it out at Hotel Oasis Islantilla Facebook Fan Page!

The role of Entertainment Reporter requires of someone enthusiastic who is willing to learn about Social Media and with good knowledge of camera recording, photo shooting and editing. Florin has done and extremely great effort to learn all the areas needed to became a great Entertainment Reporter and we would like to appreciate his commitment. Moreover Florin is a positive person who helps to create a fun and easy-going environment at any entertainment team he works.

Because we are really happy to have entertainers as Florin in Acttiv and because we want to give him the chance to share with us his experience as reporter in Hotel Oasis Islantilla, we award him as Facebook Fan o the Month and give him free access to our blog animajobs.com/blog (our blog is being redesigned and we will have a new one next week!).

Uno de los objetivos mas importantes por el cual los hoteles desean introducir animación nocturna, es por el consumo de bebidas que se generan  al estar los clientes dentro del hotel participando en la animación. En cambio en hoteles que poseen todo incluido, el fin máximo que tiene la animación nocturna es captar al cliente para que vuelva de nuevo, en ambos complejos es importante dotar al equipo de animación de medios para poder desarrollar un programa exitoso.

A groso modo, podemos diferenciar los establecimientos en este apartado en dos tipos: Los que cuentan con espectáculos profesionales externos contratados por agencias o promotores, y los que combinan shows profesionales con espectáculos creados por el mismo equipo de animación.

Normalmente aunque no siempre, en España los hoteles de tres y cuatro estrellas son los que apuestan más por la animación nocturna diseñada por los propios animadores, y suelen ser los hoteles de cinco estrellas, los que invierten más en espectáculos externos.

Además del momento del show, es importante hacer partícipe al público con juegos interactivos que suelen ser muy divertidos como concursos, quiz de preguntas, loterias, juegos de parejas, etc que aunque son clásicos, a  mucha gente les sigue gustando, sobre todo en hoteles de tres y cuatro estrellas donde por lo general los clientes suelen ser más participativos. Aunque la tendencia está cambiando.

Como bien explica Irving Ribot director de animación de la cadena hotelera Med Playa Hoteles, en la comundidad sobre profesionales del turismo  hosteltur, en su post titulado ¿Animación turística o teatro hotelero? “Sin embargo con el transcurso del tiempo las cosas han cambiado. No sabría decir a ciencia cierta cuándo empezó el cambio pero hoy en día ese visitante que antes era nuestra figura imprescindible  ha decidido convertirse en un observador pasivo de la acción nocturna dentro de los hoteles. Es difícil hoy en día lograr que el cliente se involucre en las noches de participación como lo hiciese antaño, sobre todo el cliente anglosajón prefiere sentarse a disfrutar de una actuación más bien al estilo teatral que ver a sus coterráneos pelear con espadas de globos o caminar con un libro en la cabeza mientras el resto del público ríe”.

Lo cierto es que por las nuevas tecnologías entre otros factores, resulta más difícil sorprender a un público acostumbrado a los efectos especiales de hollywood.

¿Por qué muchas veces los shows creados por los animadores consiguen una mayor valoración por parte del público que los shows profesionales? La respuesta en sencilla, generalmente los clientes empatizan más con los animadores, porque los conocen. Es divertido ver a aquellos con los que juegan, aprenden, y se divierten durante el día, bailando y haciendo sketch de noche. Cada vez los equipos de animación son más profesionales, y muchos de ellos no tiene nada que envidiar a la puesta en escena de los mejores shows profesionales.

Hoy he entrevistado a Salvo Porto. Él es jefe de animación del hotel Ifa Interclub Atlántic. Con solo conversar con él unos minutos consigue  irradiarte de energía, y sabe muy bien como transmitir a su equipo la emoción y la satisfacción que supone hacer Animación. Le he preguntado cuales son los puntos importantes a la hora de crear y poner en escena un show. Enhorabuena crack!

We have noticed an increasing number of activity on our Facebook Wall: you post a lot of pictures and funny (or scary) comments. You do a really great job and therefore we want to mention some of the most Acttiv entertainers, which are also potential candidates to be rewarded:

Baciu Florin, for example, has been very busy in the Club Mac Hotel, Alcudia (Mallorca) this summer working as Entertainer Reporter and it is great he took the time to share a very nice slideshow about his team performing an amazing “This is it” – Show.

Emiliano Micali publishes a lot of stuff recently, too. During Halloween, he posted bloody toilets, cut off hands with worms around it and really scary faces, like the one on the side.

Of course, Halloween is a really good moment to post pics and videos, and we really apreciate it. But now, these days of horror are over and we are expecting new event pics!

A really exclusive animation event was shared on our Facebook Wall by Mickael Barthelemey. He and his team organizad a Champagne Experience in the Lopesan Costa Meloneras Hotel Resort, Grand Canary, which seems to have been a big success. He posted several photos of his team and the whole evening event and is therefore also one of our potencial candidates for the Facebook Fan of the Month award.

And remember the award that could be yours: your picture will outstand in the new frame placed in our Profile image … but the best part of it will be that the winner will have better and more opportunities to keep sharing his or her entertainment job in Facebook. After a first glance on your participation of posting comments, pics and videos, over the last weeks, we got an impression of the different level of dedication of you guys.

One of the most active members on our Facebook-Site is Daniel Klophaus. He’s is really busy and even so, he finds time to upload scary pics like this one! Sometimes he appears himself in the pictures (like here), or he publishes his team-members and activities. Wow, this pic is awesome…. The make-up must have taken hours and hours! You surely had a great animation on Halloween!

He is closely followed by Paolo Puteo. One of the latest post of Paolo was the day after Halloween, too. The two clowns – or should I say Punks? – seem to have a very good time. Paolo is a frequent publisher of posts, comments and pics on our Wall on Facebook. And so he is a very potential candidate on the first FAN OF THE MONTH – Award.

Chantal Drieenhuizen, Marsha van der Looij and Adriana Donzelli post a lot of stuff, too.

Adriana posted this nice pic – the preparation of the Halloween-Evening, where she is just doing the make-up for Daniel. Adriana, you could work as cosmetician, too!!!  :)

All of you did a really great job and made efforts to share their experience by posting pics and videos on your Wall. But sorry, girls, we will not considerate Animation coordinators for this award. This would be a little bit unfair….

So, what do you think? Could you do better? We sill haven’t come to a decision. The winner of the award Facebook FAN OF THE MONTH will be elected during the last days of November. And on 1^st of December we will publish the winner here.

We will go learning month by month… and we will see if something else should be added to these package. How to choose the Fan of the Month?

Don’t get confused with the Entertainer’s Month. We don’t look for rewarding the best entertainer of the Month… it would be almost impossible! We want to reward to one of the most active entertainers on our Facebook Fan Page. We are aware many of you are editing videos and taking great pics so we just want to recognise that continue effort. So the last week of every month we will come up with a list of the most active people on our Fan Page and among those names a jury made up of a few people in Acttiv will decide. So the decision will be completely subjective. So blame us all if you are not happy. Or, better, let us know how we could improve the process…

Ah! And if we think the Fan of the Month is doing a really great job he or she can be re-elected again.

There are more than 600 people working with Acttiv at the moment and the enclosed graphic is showing you where they are placed.

With Acttiv you can get an entertainment job both in campings and in 3,4 and 5 star hotels during all the seasons of the year. In the summer season there are positions on the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands and the Spanish mainland. On the other side, in the winter season there are jobs on the Canary Islands (Lanzarote, Gran Canaria, Tenerife and Fuerteventura).

Acttiv is every day getting bigger and bigger but for you to have a better idea about it; we have created the above graphic. In green there are the number of hotels or campings and, in red the number of entertainers, all this information appears divided according to the region.

Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Tenerife y Gran Canaria are islands that form part of Canary Islands. On the other hand Mallorca, Ibiza and Menorca are islands that belong to Balearic Island. Cataluña, Levante and Andalucía are regions from the Spanish Mainland.

This graphic corresponds has been created with data from this moment. As we are in the beginning of summer season, this is the high season and the one with more people working with us. It can be a perfect job for summer but as well a position for the whole year. Bare in mind that the hotels in Canary Islands remain during all the seasons.
