How to get a job as an entertainer?

Selection process, what to expect?

We give you the opportunity to work in hotels or campsites as a tourist entertainer

STEP 1. DISCOVER THE BEST WAY TO DO IT

We recommend that you choose the character that you identify most with and follow the simple home page test to find out the best way to get a job with Acttiv. There are two options: entertainers with experience or specialised profiles, and young people without experience or training. IMPORTANT: we hire young people from EU countries or those who are non-EU but have a residence and work permit in Spain. In both cases, you will also have to send us a copy of your valid passport.

Step 2. UPLOAD YOUR CV
Send us your CV and tell us when you can start work. Now you can upload a presentation video showing what you can do.
STEP 3. APPLY TO A JOB OFFER
There are various types of job within tourist entertainment. Take into account that if you have a specialised profile, you'll only be selected for related vacancies.
STEP 4. INTERVIEW
In HR, we value your CV. If we think you're a good candidate, we'll interview you by telephone or on skype. You'll need to show us that you want to have fun working.
STEP 5. JOB OFFER
We've found your perfect job! We give you all the information about the establishment, the accommodation conditions and your responsibilities. Now, say yes or no.
STEP 6. THE ESTABLISHMENT DECIDES
We give your CV to the particular hotel or campsite and then it's up to them to decide if they like your profile. They have the final say.
STEP 7. YOU'RE HIRED!
Now you can buy your plane flight because the establishment has said yes and you've got a start date. We ask you for the necessary documentation to create your contract.

I DON'T HAVE EXPERIENCE

The tourist entertainer course is obligatory

STEP 2. SIGN UP FOR ONE OF THE COURSES
Choose between the the face-to-face and the online course. Send us your CV and sign up. We periodically hold face-to-face courses for very specific profiles, on certain dates and there are online courses every month, so you’ll always have a training course within your reach!
STEP 3. INTERVIEW
Enter the selection process! To get to know you, we usually hold the interviews in English because all the online and most of the face-to-face courses are taught in it. Only a few face-to-face courses are taught in Spanish. English is the common language of all the international teams!
STEP 4. ONLINE OR FACE-TO-FACE COURSE
Start to take fun seriously and surprise yourself by doing things you’d never have dreamed you’d know how to do. Show us your enthusiasm, motivation and passion for your work; that way, you’ll definitely pass the course!
STEP 5. JOB OFFER
Both the online and face-to-face training courses guarantee a job offer – for those who pass! We promise to offer you a job during the year following your training course; if not, we’ll reimburse you the course fee.

I've been offered work, and now what?

A quick guide to what happens once you've passed the tourist entertainer selection process

PAPER WORK

Once your job has been confirmed by the hotel or campsite:

  • We request your documentation so that HR can prepare your contract (we will also need a copy of your valid passport)

  • We send you the employee handbook with all the info you need, including what clothes we recommend you bring

WELCOME

Now for the arrival instructions! We'll give you the telephone number of your coordinator at your destination and, as needed,  also that of the chief entertainer.

We'll come to pick you up at the airport or railway station, or we'll hire a shuttle bus, or we'll let you know the easiest way to get to your hotel or house.

Zero worries, you're in good hands.

BOARD

Once you arrive at the hotel or campsite, your chief entertainer will welcome you.

They'll introduce you to the rest of the team, they'll bring you up to speed on what your work will be and show you where you'll be staying from then on.

FORMALITIES

Once you're settled in, your coordinator will come by so that you can get to know each other. You'll be able to ask them all your questions, and most importantly, you'll sign the contract. They'll help you with anything related to entertainment but also with work-related issues. You'll always be able to count on them.

Welcome on board!

If you're a non-Spanish candidate, you'll need to do 3 basic things (in this order):

1
Register for Social Security. If you don't live in Spain yet, we'll help you to handle it; if you're already here, you'll have to go to the Social Security office to get it.
2
Obtain the NIE (Foreigner Identification Number) at the national police station.
3
Open a bank account at a Spanish bank so that you can receive your salary.

The area coordinator will explain to you how to follow these steps and will accompany you to the police station to obtain your NIE. If you'd already like to put coordinators' faces to names, visit the destinations page
